About Me
Hi, I'm Dave Myers, a web designer and developer located in the Santa Barbara, California. I'm employed as the senior web developer at Ameravant Web Design, where I've worked with a wide range of clients, including technology companies, mobile consultants, non-profit organizations, and multimedia sites.
My Experience
I've been designing for over a decade and worked on a number of projects, with clients that span many different fields. In 1999, I worked for Perilith Industrielle on the project Unrealty as the Lead Texture Artist, a project that took game technology and used it for real estate tours. I also worked as a Graphic Artist for the former online gaming review site, 3DGN and as the Web Designer/Administrator for Capo Beach Calvary. In 2005 and 2006, I worked as a web and print designer for the professional medical imaging company Ampronix. My experience also includes freelance work for clients like California Property Tax Resources.
My Education
I graduated cum laude from Laguna College of Art and Design with a Bachelors of Fine Arts Degree in Illustration.
Miscellaneous Tidbits
My strong interests in art and technology have lead me to where I am now in life. As a kid, I spent all of my time doodling and drawing comic books. When my family finally got a computer in Summer of '94, I found myself so fascinated by the new toy that I was determined to take my doodling and transfer it to the digital medium. By Spring of '96, I was proudly presenting artwork on my very own website (hosted by the legendary Geocities, designed in the amazing Netscape Navigator Gold).
In my spare time, I enjoy movies (I'm a bit of a DVD collector, as my overloaded shelves can attest to), drawing (which I'm trying to make more time for), and going on hikes with my girlfriend (one doesn't get much exposure to fresh air and nature looking at a computer screen all day).
